The thought that sound can influence us seems odd , but it isn’t really when you break down the process.
Humans typically consist of around 70% water and sound travels through water.
When delving deeper, the researcher Masuru Emoto conducted experiments where he exposed water to different words, music, and thoughts, and then examined the resulting ice crystals under a microscope. Emoto claimed that positive words, intentions and sound resulted in beautiful, symmetrical crystals, while the opposite led to distorted, asymmetrical structures. This was also widely criticised by the scientific community.
If we know that sound can travel through water and we as humans are 70% water then it could be feasible to say the sound and vibration can reach deep into the tissues and cellular structure. This could help vibrate the cells into a more positive rhythm. A more positive vibrational rhythm could equate to a feeling of deep relaxation, feeling positive and better sleep etc.… this is the result of the sound and vibration rebalancing your system at a deep level…all thanks to our water content. A good reason to have another glass of water and how important staying hydrated is if you’re attending a sound bath. This gives the sound vibration a helping hand in trying to achieve it’s optimum effect.
When practicing as a complimentary practitioner I always advised on keeping well hydrated, which only appeared to have a positive effect on any of the treatments received. sound bath journey
